Sample Dynamic Warm-up Drills

High Knee Lift. While standing in place, lift your right knee toward your chest, raise the body up on the toes of the left foot, and touch your right ankle with both hands. Repeat on the other side (Figure 3-6).

Standing Flutter. While standing in place with both arms extended overhead, extend your right arm and left leg backward several inches and then return to the starting position. Repeat with the opposite limbs (Figure 3-7).

Toes In and Out. While standing in place, first march your feet to turn the toes out and the heels in, and then turn the toes in and heels out (Figure 3-8).
